Support Request: Screensaver Countdown Issues
Reproduction
See description above and attached configuration settings.
We want to reset our kiosks quickly and reliably after a couple of minutes of inactivity. I am trying to do that with the screensaver feature but give users a warning if they are not ready to leave their session. I have the screensaver set, with the 15 second countdown timer turned on. When the countdown timer dialog starts, frequently after 1-2 seconds it will go away and start the inactivity check over again. If I had a 5 minute inactivity window, now it is effectively 10 minutes (or more if the 15 second countdown timer 'fails' again).
Another issue that I have is that if I have opened a web page in a new 'tab / window', when the countdown timer dialog opens, the secondary web page 'disappears' (as far as my users are concerned) and the start / home page gets focus. We want to use our kiosks for video training, and users may be watching videos in a new window for periods of time that would cause the inactivity countdown timer to kick in. When that happens, the video may still be playing but it no longer has the focus - the focus has shifted back to our start / home page. Is there a way to keep this from happening? I want the user to see the inactivity timer, touch the mouse and continue to watch their video with little interruption.
Let me know if you have any questions!
